Prolific children's author and TV personality David Walliams is no longer with his longtime publishing house, as confirmed by the firm.
A spokesman for the company commented: "After careful consideration, and with the guidance of its recently appointed chief executive, HarperCollins UK has chosen to cease publishing any new titles by David Walliams."
Reports indicate that the conclusion was taken subsequent to an inquiry regarding claims about conduct deemed unsuitable involving young women.
The publisher did not confirm the specific rationale behind the move, noting: "We refrain from speaking about private personnel issues."
Walliams is one of the UK's most successful children's authors, boasting over more than 60 million copies globally in five dozen languages.
The debut children's novel from Walliams, *The Boy in the Dress*, was released through HarperCollins fifteen years ago.
A number of his titles, including *Gangsta Granny* and *Billionaire Boy*, have found new life as television films.
His bibliography includes more than 40 books altogether, including a festive story named *Santa & Son*, which was published by HarperCollins this past October.
His career breakthrough occurred on the television comedy show *Little Britain* and has also won National Television Awards for his duties as an arbiter on *Britain's Got Talent*.
He was made an OBE back in 2017 for his services to charity and the arts.
The publisher's decision comes after the naming of Kate Elton as HarperCollins UK's freshly installed boss last fall.
