The British boxer prepares to battle the American YouTuber in an eight round fight which will be broadcast live on Netflix.
Briton Anthony Joshua stated he will "overwhelm entirely" the American and "break" his opponent as the pair came face-to-face to publicize next month's heavyweight fight.
Former twice world heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua battles YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul - in what is, by the numbers, a huge mismatch - at Miami's arena on December 19th.
Boxer's Mindset
"I will damage his features and break his body up. I aim to demonstrate my superiority," the British boxer, 35, declared.
"I plan to overwhelm him. That's the boxer's mindset.
"I will really want to cause him pain. That's what I want to do."
Respectful Exchange
In spite of these statements, a relaxed Joshua and internet personality Jake Paul - normally known for his showmanship - were respectful and remained civil with each other.
Jake Paul instead criticized ex Joshua opponent the Cameroonian fighter and labeled him "ridiculous" after Ngannou turned down a match opportunity.
Targeting Fury
Anthony Joshua, in the meantime, targeted British opponent Tyson Fury - and refused a £1m bet 'Tyson Fury' states he will put on a Paul win.
"[Paul] outshines Tyson Fury - he's present here," Joshua commented.
"I give him credit for that."
Serious Fighter
In spite of declaring he will damage his opponent, Anthony Joshua chose not to speak negatively about his opponent's fighting skills.
"Jake is a legitimate boxer," he said.
Jake Paul's History
Jake Paul - who originally gained popularity on the Disney Channel - has primarily fought mixed martial artists or past-their-prime fighters since becoming pro.
He lost to Briton Tommy Fury in last year.
Financial Attraction
However, the inexperienced fighter remains one of the sport's largest financial successes, frequently receiving massive financial rewards.
Prediction and Confidence
The 28 year old predicted a knockout win in round four or five and asserted he would prevent the highly-expected match between Joshua and Fury, which is allegedly under discussion for 2026.
"The next fight will be my match with Fury in the coming year," Paul said.
Size Difference
As both boxers met for the customary face-off, with their height and weight contrast clearly visible, it emphasized just how surprising this entire matchup is - and how remarkable it is that the bout is truly proceeding.
